Alys Beach Crafted X CB Grey Pop-Up Featuring The Cheryl Collection | Friday - Saturday | November 15-16 | 10AM - 4PM

During Alys Beach’s 20th year, our teams have been contributing to the 20 Years of Giving Back initiative with a new community effort each month. In the month of November, which is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, all of the Alys Shoppe’s proceeds from sales from CB Grey’s The Cheryl collection of scarves and silk accessories will be donated to PanCAN, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Additionally, CB Grey founder and artist, Courtney Buchanan, will participate in the Alys Beach Crafted Holiday Makers Market on Friday, November 15, and Saturday, November 16, from 10AM-4PM, also donating all proceeds from her sale of The Cheryl to PanCAN.

CB Grey is known for luxurious, fashion-forward, boldly artistic, and meaningful silk scarves and accessories, particularly to patrons of the Alys Shoppe where her scarves are an established favorite. Behind each of CB Grey’s designs is the story of a special woman whose life has impacted not only Courtney’s, but that of the world around her.

The Cheryl, of course, is no exception, inspired by Cheryl Phillips, the mother of Courtney’s dear childhood friend, Lauren. A light and remarkable woman, her spirit is represented as much in the delicate strength of the silk as it is in the sophisticated and serene tones, in the careful details and symbols within the scarf’s design, and in the incorporation of a favorite saying, “Onward and upward, darling.” Collaborating to honor “Mama C,” Courtney and Lauren were able to present the design to her before she lost her two-year battle with pancreatic cancer in 2023.

The Cheryl collection was created from a deeply personal place as a tribute and an inspiration, a reminder to celebrate life with elegance, finding beauty and strength in life’s every layer. With the shared impact of pancreatic cancer amongst the Alys Beach family, it is with great joy that we share the story behind The Cheryl and the proceeds from the sale with PanCAN, working boldly to advance scientific research, to build community, to share vital information and resources, and to advocate for patients.

Come visit Courtney and the Alys Shoppe during Alys Beach Crafted, and purchase an item from The Cheryl collection to enjoy or to gift, with the added bonus of benefitting PanCAN’s efforts.
